ZEBULON - James Thomas Jones, 70, died Thursday, May 25, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 28, in the Strickland Funeral Home chapel in Wendell. Burial followed in Greenmount Cemetery.

He was a native of Wake County, the son of the late Jim Thomas and Olia Bryant Jones. He worked with Hi Cone for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mayzell Tant Jones; sister, Louise Denton; brothers, Will and Edward Lee Jones.

Surviving: son, Jessie Jones of the home; brother, Danny Jones (Brenda) of Wake Forest; special friend, Lucille Pearce.
