RALEIGH - Joyce Allen Cockerham died Friday, May 26, at Springmoor Retirement Community in Raleigh. The family will receive friends at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, St. Mary’s Street, on Thursday, June 1, from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Raleigh Memorial Park at 1:30.

A memorial service will then be held in the auditorium at Springmoor Retirement Community at 3 p.m.

She was the only child of Doris (LaLa) Allen and Joseph S. Allen. She, along with a friend, developed Adams-Cockerham Antiques.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. C. Clark Cockerham.

Surviving: sons, C. Clark “Chip” Cockerham Jr. of Wake Forest, Bruce Allen Cockerham of Fuquay-Varina; daughter, Jean C. Davis (Walter) of Youngsville; and one granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County or the Springmoor Endowment Fund.
