YOUNGSVILLE - Robert Edward “Bud” Keith, 88, died Sunday morning, March 9, 2008 at Wake Medical Center. Funeral services will be conduced at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 12) at Harris Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill Haley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Essie Grace Woodlief Keith and Willie Judson Keith, and was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Bailey Keith; siblings, Archie, Hassie, Fred, Ashby Keith, and Marie Bobbitt.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during WWII for four years. He was a retired farmer and a carpenter.

Surviving: his sons, Worth Keith (Pam) of Zebulon, Beryl Keith of Selma, Charles Keith (Ginny) of Youngsville and Ricky Keith of Youngsville; sisters, Nellie Conner of Fuquay-Varina, Kathleen Rogers of Wake Forest and Inez Hart of Youngsville; and four grandchildren.
