STEM - William R. “Bill” Robbins, 70, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Oxford Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 1, at Peaces Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Jason Hunter and the Rev. Tony Futrell. Burial was in the church cemetery.

A native of Orange County, he was the son of the late Dr. Cecil W. Robbins, former president of Louisburg College, and Eloise Sorrell Robbins. He retired from Wal-Mart for medical reasons.

Surviving: his wife, Christine Davis Robbins of the home; two stepdaughters, Angela Graziano and Susan Setze, both of Stem; a stepson, Bobby Dickerson of Gordo, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
