T. KEMP (May 9, 1917 – April 14, 2008)


LOUISBURG – Toliver Thomas Kemp, 90, of Louisburg, died Monday evening.

Mr. Kemp was a son of the late Edwin Abel and Irene Terrell Kemp. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cora Bobbitt Kemp, and his brothers, Terrell Kemp, Allen Kemp and Herman Kemp.

Mr. Kemp was a Franklin County businessman and the founder of Katesville Pallet Mill.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Kemp is survived by his wife, Helen H. Kemp; daughters and sons in-law, Irene and Steve Mitchell of Bunn, Gail and Stan Floyd, Peggy and Bobby Land, all of Louisburg, Cora and Grant Blair of Ninety Six, SC; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kim Kemp, Roy and Mattie Kemp, Abe and Janie Kemp; sister, Edith K. Frisbie, all of Louisburg; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg.
