LOUISBURG - Funeral services for John “Pete” Johnson, 69, who died Friday, April 18, 2008, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 23) at the United House of Prayer, with Apostle Thomas Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in the M. H. Jones cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Mary Elizabeth Jones Jeffers Johnson of the home; daughters, Regina Johnson, Gail Johnson, Sharon Johnson, all of Rockaway, N. Y., Karen Williams of Raleigh, Michelle Johnson of Franklinton, Lisa Johnson of Wilmington, Del., Tracey Freeman, Rosalind Johnson, both of Louisburg, Carolyn Massenburg of Youngsville; one stepdaughter, Renee Jeffers of Kuwait; sons, John Henry Johnson Jr. of Springfield, Mass., Kim Johnson of Rockaway, N. Y., and Michael Johnson of Wendell; sister, Ernestine Richardson of Louisburg; and 20 grandchildren.
