MARY C. PERRY


FRANKLINTON - Mary Lizzie Crudup Perry, 102, died Friday, April 25, 2008. Funeral services were conducted Friday, May 2, at Popes Chapel United Church of Christ, Franklinton, with the Rev. Jeanette Pender officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County to the late George W. and Ella Mitchell Crudup. She received her education in the Franklin County public school system. She served as a deaconess, missionary, choir member and Mother of the Church at Popes Chapel United Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Perry; two sons, Jasper Perry Sr. and Joseph R. Perry; and all of her siblings.

Surviving: daughters, Ella M. Crudup of the home and Emma L. Bowden of Franklinton; son, George A. Perry of Somerset, N.J.; special grandson; 25 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, and some great-great-great-great-grandchildren.
