YOUNGSVILLE - Elizabeth Frances Allen, 95, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Wake Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today (Saturday, May 31) in the chapel of Franklin Funeral Service, 504 E. Mason St. in Franklinton, with the Rev. David Haley officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Hardie W. and Maude Dickens Allen. She was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church and worked at Boles Department Store in Wake Forest and then at Leggett’s Department Store in Franklinton.

Surviving: her caregiver, Sarah Teasley; brother-in-law, Dr. C. Ray Pruette.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Pruette, and her brother, Robert Allen.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
