CASTALIA - Funeral services for Ray Anstead, 54, who died Friday, June 20, 2008, were conducted Tuesday, June 24, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Malissa Anstead of the home, Rayshonna Anstead of Battleboro and Jameca Yancey of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters, Ozette Anstead of Castalia and Mary Wiggins of Nashville; brother, Jasper Anstead of Durham; and two grandchildren.
