RALEIGH - Johnny Lee Godwin, 58, died Thursday, June 19, 2008. A memorial service was conducted Saturday, June 21, in the chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home in Raleigh.

He was born in Raleigh, the son of the late William Godwin and Doris Emory Godwin. He was employed with Litho Industries for more than 23 years and currently worked at the Electrical Insulation and Service Company in Garner.

Surviving: his wife, Annette; daughter, Tally Stephens (Keith) of Live Oak, Fla.; Annette’s children, Fred Howard (Becky), Christopher Fields, both of Raleigh, Scott Fields (Tina) of Winamac, Ind., Donna Whitt of Youngsville; sister, Billie Jean Hanrahan of Clayton; and 12 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepdaughter, Freeda Dupree.

A memorial service was conducted Saturday, June 21, in the chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home in Raleigh.
