LOUISBURG - Gary “Pappy” Allen Burbage Sr., 63, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at Rex Hospital. Funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home chapel in Wendell. Burial will be in the Bunn Town Cemetery.

He was born in Berkeley County, S. C., and was a retired electrical foreman.

Surviving: his wife, Sandra Medlin Burbage; son, Gary Allen Burbage Jr. (Holly) of Clayton; daughters, Brenda Thompson (Jay) of Moncks Corner, S.C., and Amanda Carrolton; stepdaughter, Pam Rochester (Jimmy) of Louisburg; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 tonight (Wednesday, July 23) at Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, and other times at the home at 201 N. Pointe Dr., Louisburg.
