WHITAKERS - Daisy Mirend Dunn, 70, died Monday, August 11, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 17, 2008, at 12:00 noon at Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Julie Lawson, of Battleboro and Jackie Greene, of Whitakers; sons, Albert Alston, of Whitakers, Robert Alston and Micheal Dunn, both of Louisburg, Donald Dunn, of Nashville; sisters, Sherley G. Roberson, of Woodberry, NJ, Beatrice Alston, of Battleboro, and Mary Ann Alston, of Rocky Mount, 13 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Wake services will be held at the Richardson Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, August 16, 2008, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Richardson Funeral Home, Nashville.
