RALEIGH - Ruth Carlyle Layton, 77, formerly of Franklinton, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008.

Surviving: her children, Brenda Winder of Florida, Diane Carlyle, Debbie Carlyle and Frankie Carlyle, all of Raleigh; a brother, Wayne Perry; and a sister, Rosa Luckey, both of Fort Worth, Tex.

Arrangements are by Cromartie-Miller-Lee Funerals and Cremations in Dunn. Burial will be at Pope’s Chapel in Franklinton.
