MONCURE - William R. “Bill” Robbins, 62, of Moncure, formerly of Raleigh, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Harris Chapel Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Janet Balasko officiating.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of Margaret Perry Robbins and the late Fred Robbins. He was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church and was retired from N.C. State University, Research Farms.

Surviving: his wife, Donna B. Robbins; mother, Margaret Perry Robbins of Youngsville; sister, Freda Leggett of Youngsville; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; sisters, Kathy Robbins and Marjorie Connor.
