HILLSBOROUGH - The Rev. Bennie Austin Mack Sr. was born October 27, 1928. He died September 3, 2008.

The funeral will be at 3 pm Sunday at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 6 , 7 pm to 8:30 pm at Chavis-Parker Funeral Home. Burial will be in Church Cemetery.

Rev. Mack graduated from Little River High School in Durham. He is a recipient of a Bachelor of Theology and a Master of Divinity. He was pastor at First Baptist Church in Louisburg.

Survivors are wife Rosa Mack; two daughters, Sherrial Mack Johnson and Sharon Furges; one son, Bennie Mack Jr.; one brother; James Roy Mack; two sisters, Vera M. Hughes and Zola M. Barnes.
