ORANGE, N.J. - Funeral services for Mr. Herbert C. Cyrus Jr., 73, formerly of Hollister, who died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Debbie Cyrus of Orange, N.J.; daughter, Virginia Alice Cyrus of Orange, N.J.; son, Wayne Darrell Gordon of Orange, N.J.; stepson, Erskine Tucker of Philadelphia, Pa.; sisters, Dorothy Davis of Bethlehem, Pa., Elouise Moore of Plainfield, N.J., Geraldine Richardson of Louisburg and Mary Elliott of East Orange, N.J; brothers, Chester Lee Cyrus of Miami, and Douglas Cyrus of Hampton, Va.; and nine grandchildren.

Open visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
