FRANKLINTON - Gwendolyn “Ram Bette” Edwards Satterwhite, 48, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at her home. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Sept. 6, at A.M.E. Zion Church in Franklinton, with the Rev. Alex Atlas officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

She was born in Newark, N. J., the daughter of Charlie and Nancy Edwards.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony Edwards.

Surviving: her husband, Earnest Satterwhite; children, Rodney, Brandi and Christine Rose, all of Franklinton; brothers, James Leroy Davis (Betty) of Louisburg, Charles Elvis Edwards (Darene) of Franklinton, and Floyd Caven Edwards (Amanda) of Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends.
