CAPITAL HEIGHTS, Md. - John Alston, 80, formerly of Louisburg, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008 in Maryland. A public viewing will be held on Sunday, Sept. 14 from 1-2 p.m. at Alston-Anderson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at the Sills Family cemetery in Louisburg at 2 p.m.

Survivors, wife, Ruth Williamson Alston of Capital Heights, MD; daughter, Deborah Hill of Englewood, CA; son, John R. Alston Jr. of Capital Heights, Md.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
