ZEBULON - Helon Carter Brame, 86, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2008 at Guardian Care of Zebulon. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Sept. 20, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Apex.

She was born in Durham to Willie C. Carter and Thelma Briggs Carter.

Surviving: her sons, Marshall F. Brame Jr. (Emma) of Roxboro, Robert L. Brame (Marshae) of Zebulon, and Carson T. Brame of Durham; brothers, Jack Carter, Bill Carter and Larry Bowles Carter; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Carroll Brame Wheeler.
