LOUISBURG - Elsie Gupton Stallings, 84, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008 at home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Sept. 27) from the chapel of Lancaster Funeral & Cremation Services, with the Rev. Philip Kissinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Gupton family cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Alice Strother (D.T.) of Louisburg, Elaine Burton (Jimmy) of Wilmington; sons, Donald W. Gupton (Merline) of Wilmington, Ronnie L. Gupton (Betty) of Louisburg; brothers, Raymond (Dot) of Henderson, Tom Ayscue (Irene), William B. Ayscue (Jean), John Ayscue (Diane), all of Alert; sisters, Rose Pernell (Marvin) and Sarah Ayscue, all of Alert; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great- grandchildren.
