WILLOW SPRING - Allie Daisy Stanley McWhirter, 93, a resident of Carolina House in Smithfield, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 8) at Bethel Free Will Baptist church cemetery in Four Oaks.

She was the daughter of the late William Bennett Stanley and Ila Thompson Stanley, the eighth of 14 children.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Daniel Stanley and Mack McWhirter; a son, Joseph Wilson Stanley; one granddaughter; and 13 siblings.

Surviving: daughters, Judith Grissom of Youngsville, Joyce Stewart of Willow Spring; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
