CASTALIA - Charles Wilbert Alston, 82, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Louisburg. Interment will follow in the Perry’s Missionary Baptist Church cemetery in Centerville.

Surviving: daughter, Deloris Stamper of Castalia; sister, Mahalia Williams of Brown Mills, N.J.; brothers, Eugene Alston of Castalia and King David Alston of Louisburg; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. today (Saturday, Oct. 11) at William Toney’s Funeral Home in Spring Hope.
