LOUISBURG - John Lindsey Harris, 86, of Washington, DC, formerly of Franklin County, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 in Bethesda, Md. Graveside services were conducted Friday, Oct. 17, at Oakwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Earl Dulaney officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover C. Harris, Sr. and Vera Wagstaff Harris, and his sister, Edith Park, all of Louisburg.

Surviving: his brother, Grover C. Harris, Jr., of Louisburg; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Louisburg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 667, Louisburg, NC 27549.
