JULIUS WALLACE SEXTON


WINTON - Julius Wallace Sexton, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 18, in his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 22) at Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main St., Gatesville, by the Rev. Joseph Futrell. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie.

He was the retired owner and operator of Sexton Logging. He was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

Surviving: his wife, Joyce Mathias Sexton; a daughter, Denise “Dee” S. Smith (Gary) of Kitty Hawk; sons, Clifton Wallace “Cliff” Sexton (Angela) of Winton, and Glenn A. Sexton (Stacey) of Eure; sister, Mildred Stallings of Louisburg; and six grandchildren.
