LOUISBURG - Eugene “Bill” Boone, 73, died Monday morning, Oct. 27, 2008, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 29) at Good News Independent Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bobby Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hope Memorial Gardens.

He was a son of the late Tallie Perry and Smithy Cleveland Boone and a native of Nash County.

Surviving: his wife, Mary L. Boone; daughter, Rose Marie Hawley (John) of Lucama; stepdaughter, Laura Jean Moody (John) of Thomasville; stepsons, Wayne Bryant of Bailey and Jermy Mashburn of Thomasville; sisters, Annie Lou Hudson of Morehead City, Elizabeth McCune of Casserbry, Fla., Brenda Clark of Greenville; brothers, Grover Boone of Kenly, Hilton Morgan of Spring Hope and Jack Morgan of Youngsville; and seven grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin Street, Louisburg.
