FRANKLINTON - Thilbert Howard Pearce, 87, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 at his home. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 29) in Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton with military rites.

He was a native of Franklin County and the son of the late Ella Cornog and Howard S. Pearce. He was retired from the Franklin County Health Department and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of American Legion Post #52, the Confederate Heritage Society and Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Surviving: his wife, Grace Giddings Pearce. He was preceded in death by a son, Thilbert H. Pearce II.
