RALEIGH - Betsy Poole, 76, of Wake Forest, formerly of Raleigh, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008. A memorial service was conducted Friday, Nov. 7, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Millbrook Road, Raleigh.

She was born in Bunn, the daughter of the late Donovan and Irene Griffin. She began her career as a legal secretary and co-founded Diversified Business Services, a secretarial and printing business which she operated for more than 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brantley Poole.

Surviving: daughter, Vann Holland of Wake Forest; sons, Don Poole (Jaye) of Wake Forest, Craig Poole (Ginger) of Knightdale; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
