ZEBULON - Daisy Winstead Hinton, 95, died Wednesday night, Nov. 5. 2008 at home. Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 9, at Hales Chapel Baptist Church. Burial was in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon.

She was born in Nash County, daughter of the late Davis and Sallie Bissette Winstead. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Hinton, a sister and four brothers.

Surviving: daughters, Sallie Laws (Dwight) of LaGrange, Della Carter (Brantley) of Zebulon, Joyce Shearer (Dennis) of Jacksonville, Fla., Gayle Parrish (Douglas) of Zebulon; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
