RALEIGH - Jerry Carlton Moore, 72, of Raleigh and Morehead City, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at the home of Kevin and Sandra Moore in Youngsville. Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 19, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Raleigh, with the Rev. Shannon Scott and the Rev. M. Kevin Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Olde Mt. Vernon Church cemetery on Durant Road.

A native of Wake County, he was born to Burma Wilson Moore and the late Wake C. Moore.

Surviving: wife, Jean Jones Moore; daughter, Shannon M. Mabry (Dennis) of Angier; sons, Douglas C. Moore (Teresa) of Raleigh, M. Kevin Moore (Sandra) of Youngsville; mother, Burma Wilson Moore of Emerald Isle; brother, Donald W. Moore (Jane) of Emerald Isle; sister, Nancy M. Newton (Melvin) of Raleigh; and five grandchildren.
