ZEBULON - Melba Hamilton Capps, 66, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, Jan. 3) at Corinth Baptist Church, with the Rev. Will Abernethy and Dr. Carl Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was born in Johnston County to the late Harvey Hamilton and Esther Davis Hamilton.

Surviving: husband, Russell Capps; daughters, Ruth Annette Ragan (David) of Zebulon, Joy Denise Tant (Travis) of Zebulon; brothers, Kenneth Hamilton of Zebulon and Jesse Hamilton of Clayton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
