LOUISBURG - Bessie Battle Williams, 94, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009.

Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. at St. Stephens Baptist Church with the Rev. Emma Soloman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: a daughter, Marie Jenkins, of Arlington, Va; sisters, Rochelle, Patty, Queen Esther and Gladys; brothers, Maryland, Hardie and Jonathan; and six grandchildren;

Visitation will be at Richardson Funeral Home, Louisburg on Thursday, Jan. 8 from 3 - 8 p.m.
