RALEIGH - Mary House Butner, 96, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009 at home.

Funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 8 at 11 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Raleigh. Interment will follow the service at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends today (Wednesday, Jan. 7) from 7 - 9 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Raleigh.

She was born in Wake County to Lonnie and Louise Adams House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Franklin Butner.

Survivors: daughter, Cynthia Stewart (Donnie), of Youngsville; step-daughter, Sabra Young, of Ocala Fla.; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a niece.
