KITTRELL - Geraldine Moss Badala, 77, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 at Granville Medical Center in Oxford.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today (Saturday, Jan. 17) at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Carol Dean officiating.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Moss and Lillie Brown Moss and was the widow of Joseph A. Badala.

Surviving: son, Charles F. Faulkner Jr. of Oxford; daughter, Jeannine F. Flynn of Smithfield; sister, Marilove M. Spencer of Kittrell; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Plank Chapel United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, c/o Mrs. Johnny Rose McGhee, 1327 Rocky Ford Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
