LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Mr. Marcell Evans, 65, who died Saturday, July 1, 2006, were Thursday, July 6, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg, with the Rev. Anthony Alston officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Rock Church cemetery.

Surviving: companion, Helen P. Whitehead of the home; daughters, Angelia Arrington and Ernestine Gupton, both of Louisburg, Kawains Jordan of Henderson and Tanisher Hayes of Youngsville; sons, James Kent Evans of Louisburg, Morris Evans of Rougemont, Jerry Clanton of Garner and Frederick Whitehead of Durham; sisters, Laura Etta Perry and Janice Baker, both of Louisburg; 19 grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
