NASHVILLE - William “Bill” Ellis, 75, a native of Louisburg, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009.

A memorial service will be Saturday, Feb. 7 at noon in the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville. Burial will follow in the Ellis family cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Bessie L. Ellis of Nashville; sons, Michael Ellis (Sandra) of Nashville and Steven Ellis (Donna) of Rocky Mount; sisters, Catherine Corams of Tarrytown, N.Y., Toynetta Birch of Rocky Mount, Susie Woodard of Raleigh; brothers, Roland Ellis and Edward Ellis, both of Nashville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
