ZEBULON - Elmo Franklin Privette, 77, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 18) at Pearce Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Franklin County, son to the late Herbert Kearney and Thettie Pierce Privette. He was retired from the N.C. Dept. of Revenue and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Kirby and Keston Privette, and sister, Reba P. Peterson.

Surviving: wife, Betty U. Privette of the home; daughters, Lisa P. Medlin and Joni P. Beedle (Curt), all of Zebulon; sisters, Juel P. Gay of Zebulon, Millie P. Goodnight of Greensboro and Tillie P. Hilvar of Raleigh; four grandchildren.
