FRANKLIN COUNTY -- A hail-producing thunderstorm rocked parts of Franklin County Wednesday night, shattering windows, bombarding homes and smashing windshields.
Meteorologists said conditions exist that could bring Round 2, and maybe, Round 3, Thursday and Friday evening.
"We still have a front sitting across us," meteorologist Mike Moneypenny said Thursday afternoon, noting temperatures in the 50s in Elizabeth City and in the mid 80s in the Charlotte and Fayetteville area.
