VGCC offers Basic Welding course at Franklin Campus | Saturday, September 6, 2008 10:00 am EDT | | Description: Sparks will fly when Vance-Granville Community College’s Franklin County Campus in Louisburg holds a Basic Welding course this fall. Classes are offered on Saturdays, Sept. 6 through Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., with a one-hour break for lunch.
Students will learn welding safety, gas welding, operation of a cutting torch, electric welding, arc welding and many other aspects of welding. In addition, they will be involved in hands-on activities to showcase their new skills. The class will be taught by Shaun Best.
The cost of the class will be $60.
