VGCC Franklin Campus offers Class for Bookkeepers, Administrative Professionals

Description: An upcoming course at Vance-Granville Community College’s Franklin County Campus is designed for employees who want to brush up on organizational and bookkeeping skills while improving their secretarial and receptionist skills. “Bookkeeping/Administrative Assistant Training” will be held on Tuesdays, Sept. 9 through Nov. 25, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on the Franklin campus, located on N.C. 56 about one mile west of Louisburg.

Students will learn about accounting principles, payroll records, inventory systems, telephone skills/professionalism, time management, business communication and problem solving. Classes will include guest speakers, classroom projects and hands-on activities. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive 3.6 CEU's and a Certificate of Completion for 36 classroom membership hours.

The cost of the class will be $55 plus the cost of a textbook.
