VGCC Franklin Campus Offers QuickBooks Course

Thursday, September 11, 2008 7:00 pm EDT

Description: Vance-Granville Community College will offer a class on using the popular QuickBooks accounting software at its Franklin County Campus, located on N.C. 56 about one mile west of Louisburg. The course will be taught on Thursday nights from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., Sept. 11 through Oct. 23.

The QuickBooks 2006 course is designed to introduce students to the basic features of QuickBooks, a powerful accounting system for small businesses. Students will be given an opportunity for hands-on practice. They will learn the types of information that businesses need to track and how to enter and track that information in QuickBooks. In addition, students will learn to invoice customers, record payments for customers, pay bills to outside vendors, manage inventory and analyze financial data. By the end of the course, each student should be familiar with most common tasks and know where to locate information about more advanced features.

The cost of the QuickBooks course is $55. For more information and to register for any of these courses, call Franklin Campus Director Anthony Pope at (919) 496-1567.
