FRANKLINTON- Bathsheba Ann Nicholson Jones, 59, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011 at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 29, at Franklinton Elementary School, Franklinton, with the Rev. Dr. L. Maxwell officiating. Interment was in the Jones family cemetery.
She joined Mitchiner’s Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She worked at a sewing factory in Bunn for many years and later worked at IGA, retiring in 2000.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie C. Nicholson.
Surviving: husband, Willie E. Jones; sons, Julius Jones (Eunice) of Franklinton, Doriena Jones (Lisa) of Youngsville, D’Keem Jones (LaVonna) of Franklinton, and Jamaal Jones of the home; brothers, Earl Mann (Betty) of Raleigh, Michael Nicholson of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jerry Kearney of Centerville; sisters, Brenda N. Taylor (John) of Franklinton, Beverly Clemonts (James) of Franklinton and Barbara Powell of Raleigh; grandmother, Kenzie Mann of the home; and eight grandchildren.
Arrangements handled by Cutchins Funeral Home, Franklinton.
