LOUISBURG – George Hollis, 62, died Saturday evening, March 24, 2012 at U.N.C. Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
George was a son of the late David and Susanna Wittman Hollis.
Surviving: wife, Sharon D. Hollis; sons, David Hollis of Atlanta, Ga., John (Marian) Davis of Homerville, Ga.; daughter, Ginger (Russell) Williford of Louisburg; sister, Mary (Keith) Dobish; brother, Pete (Terri) Hollis, all of Plainview, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leukemia Research Foundation, UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, External Affairs Office, UNC-CH CB# 7295, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-7295.
