EDITH AYSCUE BRANTLEY

LOUISBURG -- Edith Ayscue Brantley, 95, of Virgilina, VA , formerly of Bunn, NC, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015. Graveside services were held Sunday, Jan. 25, at the Old Bunn Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Keen officiating.

She was born in Carthage and grew up in Buies Creek. A graduate of Meredith College, she was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years, retiring from Bunn Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee "Pap" Brantley, and survived by an only child, Kenneth Lee Brantley, Jr. (Brenda); one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
