FRANKLINTON--Ronald Jacob Crudup, 57, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at his home in Franklinton. Funeral service will be Friday, April 20, at Pope's Chapel UCC, with the Rev. Eddie Williams Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Durham County, he was the son of Arnetta Crudup Jones and the late Clarence E. Jones, Sr. He was raised in Franklinton. By trade, he was a craftsman in masonry.

Surviving: his mother, Arnetta C. Jones of the home; sisters, Janet Crudup, Lisa Crudup, Angela Crudup-Perry (Michael) and Vanessa Crudup, all of Franklinton; brothers, Larry Crudup (Mildred) of Rolesville, Dexter Crudup (Diane) of Rocky Mount, Stanley Crudup of Franklinton, Christopher Crudup of Kittrell, and Clarence Jones Jr. of Blythewood, S.C.; maternal grandmother, Julia Lee Kelly of Franklinton; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
