HENDERSON, NC--- Beulah Edens Phelps, 97, died Saturday evening, August 20, 2022.

Mrs. Phelps was the daughter of the late Clarence Eugene Edens, and Ora Lee Hight Edens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie M. Phelps Sr. and her daughter-in-law, Sis Phelps. She worked 44 years for J.C. Penny in Henderson.

A graveside service was held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Lancaster Memorial Park, with the Rev. Linwood Jarrell officiating.

Mrs. Phelps is survived by her sons, Charlie M. Phelps Jr. (Glennie) of Creedmoor, Clarence Phelps of Henderson, and Dennis Phelps (Jackie) of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Gene Edens Jr. of Stafford, VA; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice, 946 W. Andrews Ave Suite S, Henderson, NC 27536.
