 WILLIAM SHELTON BOONE GREENSBORO, NC--William Shelton "Bill" Boone, 80, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends Friday evening, January 13, 2023.
He was the son of the late Robert Ricks Boone and Estelle Murphy Boone and was preceded in death by his brother, Reverend Robert R. Boone, and sister Mary Faith Evans. Bill was a graduate of Louisburg College, and was a 1966 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Bill served the community of Jamestown, NC as a pharmacist for RiteAid and Walgreens for over 50 years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Shearin Boone; sons, Shelton Keith Boone and Travis Lee Boone of Greensboro, and Jason Ricks Boone of Stoneville; and grandchildren, Rebecca Shearin Boone and Freeman Shelton Boone.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Cedar Rock First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Cedar Rock First Baptist Church Cemetery.
