LOUISBURG, NC -- Funeral services for Ella Mae Smith Strickland, age 71, who died on Friday, May 3, 2024, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from the Cedar Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Castalia with Pastor Sylvester White officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Rock Church Cemetery.

Born April 2, 1953, she is survived by her husband, Woodrow Carlton Strickland of the home; three sons, Quincy Smith of Carmichael, CA; Clifton Strickland (Twana) of Youngsville, NC, Lawrence Strickland of Kittrell, NC; four sisters, Eula Ann Alston (Jesse), Mary Smith and Bertha Davis (Ralph), all of Louisburg, NC, Elizabeth Wright (Rev. Dexter) of Bunn, NC; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Tuesday, May 7, from 6 - 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
