Jerry Wayne Frazier

LOUISBURG - Jerry Wayne Frazier, 82, of Louisburg, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2024 at Duke Medical Center.

A celebration of life service will be held Monday, May 27, 2024 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Louisburg Baptist Church.

Jerry was born in Wake County to the late Iva and Annie Hale Frazier. He married his childhood sweetheart, Jackie Frazier, and was blessed with 60 years of marriage.

He was a member of Louisburg Baptist Church. He served as President of his church Brotherhood for several years and was a member of a Fire team discipleship group. Jerry enjoyed working with other church members on many projects. Jerry was a barber in Louisburg for many years and then served as a Magistrate for Franklin County until his retirement.

Jerry was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed following the UNC Tarheels and the Boston Red Sox and also traveling to watch his grandkids participate in many various sports. He loved the outdoors, everything from fishing to yard work. He also enjoyed many family vacations with special friends, Ben and Barbara Hudson. His favorite vacation destination was Aruba. A family man above all else, Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather & brother.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jackie Winstead Frazier; sons, Gary (Karen) of Danbury, NC; Chad (Jennifer) of Wake Forest; Kevin (Sharon) of Raleigh; sisters, Jane Applegate (Roger) of Fairfax, VA and Alice Burchette of Franklinton; grandchildren, Chandler Frazier, Ryan Frazier, Sydney Frazier, Drew Frazier, Beth McKenzie and Miles McKenzie; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall at the church.
