Jane Smiley Griffin

Centerville, NC--Jane Smiley Griffin, 83, of Centerville died Friday, June 21, 2024. She was born on September 25, 1940 in Warren County to the late Bernard and Lillian Gibson Smiley. In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband, Richard Laverne Griffin; brothers, Theodore "Ted" Smiley, Arthur Smiley, and B. P. Smiley; and a niece.

Jane is survived by her goddaughters, Natalie Smiley and Tonya Smith; her sisters-in-law, Donna Smiley, Lucie Buchanan, Myrtle Smiley, and Shirley Walker; nieces and nephews, and special friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 29, at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg, NC, with Rev. Robby Ross officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Centerville Baptist Church or the Franklin County Animal Shelter.
