CREEDMOOR, NC--Edward Earl Brodie, age 85, died July 3, 2024 after a brief illness.
Born October 13, 1938 in Granville County, NC, Edward was the son of the late Roy Lemuel and Beatrice Banks Brodie.
Earl was preceded in death by five sisters, Corine, Earlene, Dorothy, Marie, and Mattie; and five brothers, Roy, Foster, Leroy, William, and Clinton.
Survivors: his daughter, Nicole Brodie of Boston, MA; four grandchildren; adopted daughter, Kiona Henderson; one brother, Melvin Brodie (Estelle) of Creedmoor, NC; two sisters, Mary Louise Jenkins and Beatrice Green (John) both of Creedmoor, NC; two sisters-in-law, Mary Brodie and Carrie Brodie; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, at the Hawkins Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Franklinton, with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Williams, pastor officiating. Interment in church cemetery.
